I ordered a 10 and returned and swapped for an 8. In an 8 they are great. They sit high on the waist. They do not cling but have no bulk.
I ordered in white. The only challenge might be that you can see the back pockets (more solid white).

They fit really well and the waist sits in the right place for me, not at hipster height.

These chinos were lovely but too big and unfortunately a smaller size would have been too small. I have always worn a size 12 from Pure so very disappointed that these were too large. My size has not changed. Please don’t get like a lot of retailers whose clothes very so much within the sizes.
