PURE IN THE UK

PACKAGING

Packaging is designed to make receiving a Pure garment special as well as to protect the product when it is delivered to it's new owner. We have endeavoured to judge the right balance between the desire to present the product beautifully and unnecessary gratuitous packaging.

We are working towards making our packaging materials biodegradable.  We are continuing to examine other areas where reductions can be made in the use of non-biodegradable packaging and warehousing materials.

TRANSPORT

We prefer to ship all our bulk shipments to the United Kingdom by sea as it is both economic and has the least impact on the environment.

Predicting how many of each style, colour and size will sell and how quickly is not an exact science so we sometimes need to place urgent top-up orders that can only realistically be shipped by air if we are to ensure the best possible service to our valued customers.

All outgoing parcels are pre-sorted so that couriers can bulk ship parcels direct to hubs close to the final destination rather than being sent to sorting offices prior to bulk shipment.

PRINTING

Pure catalogues are printed on paper that is either FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) or PEFC certified (Programme for Endorsement of Forest Certification).
They are committed to promoting sustainable forest management through independent third party forest certification.
This is based on environmentally, socially beneficial and economically viable management of forests for present and future generations.

WASTE

Pure does not generate a lot of waste. We recycle our waste paper, print cartridges, the polyurethane we generate is sent for recycling.
