Fairness is a cornerstone of the Pure brand and philosophy. It extends to everything we do. We try to create a relaxed yet efficient atmosphere, pay more than the going rate, and have fun in the work we do whilst working hard to ensure we are efficient and not wasting resources. Pure has one of the lowest staff turnover rates in our sector, which, with near full employment in our home town of Harrogate, indicates the Pure team is a happy team.

The Pure Inner Mongolian team are all paid twice the rate for their experience and skill level, whether they are management or quality technicians. We do this primarily because they are simply the best at what they do and we value them highly as they play a crucial role in assuring our customers receive products of the highest integrity.

At Pure we would never knowingly work with companies that can't demonstrate modern and fair employment practises.

We work closely with two family businesses, whose family roots have long been in cashmere - generations ago they were goat herders and today they are fully integrated goat farmers, spinners and knitters of the best quality cashmere in Inner Mongolia. Our own Inner Mongolian colleagues work alongside them, almost every day - checking quality, improving working practices and observing the way our partners are running their business. We know them intimately and are confident that every garment that bears the Pure label is made in a socially responsible and caring way. 

EMPLOYEE  WELFARE WITHIN PURE PARTNERS

The Inner Mongolian craftsmen and women who create the Pure cashmere collection are paid between 30% and 50% more than the national average.  They receive many more benefits including health insurance, which is unusual outside the big cities and even then rarely provided to factory workers; free transport to work and all meals whilst at work are subsidized; and single people are provided with accommodation.  Our partners are progressive employers and have a policy of involving themselves in the welfare of their employees.  As they say, happy people are productive people.
